Our team is filled with people from different professional backgrounds, whether marketing, publishing, OOH, design and more, but all with a common love for billboards. We are able to use that background knowledge to pull out creative ideas from our customers and form striking campaigns that we know work.
A big advantage we have is that the founders of the company are able to pass on lots of valuable billboard / OOH industry knowledge. However, the greatest knowledge comes from our clients from all sectors, who through their feedback, have helped us become a team of experts who know exactly what businesses across England need better than anyone else. 2. What fundamentals skills have you all developed since working for Billboard Media?
The most important skill is the ability to consult a business to really get to the bottom of their needs. Some clients are afraid of saying exactly what their pain points are, but we have developed the ability to have friendly and in-depth conversations about their business. This allows us to help them select the best campaign, location strategy and package that will ultimately give them the best results.
3. How are you staying up to date with the evolution of new sites/locations you are looking after?
Pre lockdown, we would usually visit the billboard locations to ensure that we know everything about the area and benefits of the billboards to the local businesses. When we can’t visit, we do research and have meetings with any on-site teams to keep in tune with what’s happening locally.
4. Why should SMEs use billboard advertising?
The main objective for an SME who is looking to advertise is to grow sales or increase awareness of their business. A billboard puts a growing business’ name and services in front of thousands of potential customers every day. Though online is a great tool for SMES, the ability to stand out amongst the competition is difficult. A billboard provides an opportunity to demand all eyes on your business, build trust, prestige and become a household name locally.
5. What are the campaigns you’ve enjoyed the most working on and why?
The most rewarding campaigns are the ones where we help a business who needs it the most, whether they are hidden off the high street, need a boost in customers or awareness. We’ve been able to help them develop a really impactful campaign and place them on the best location for their business. The smile on their faces after seeing their name on a billboard is priceless. These customers usually turn into our long-standing customers.
